AASP News

It’s finally March and Spring is on the horizon which will hopefully be accompanied by some warmer weather.

  • With March comes our annual Cabaret.  This year our talent show is comprised primarily of musical performances which, as always, will be introduced by our group of 5th grade MCs.  All the children have worked hard on their acts since the start of 2014 (and some a lot longer) and are now ready to put on a show!  Everything begins at 4:00pm on this coming Thursday, March 13th and all family and friends are welcome to join us.  We hope to see you there!
  • Hockey playoffs are also underway!  It’s the semi-finals and the Viper Claws have jumped out to a 2-0 lead over the Mighty Minions while the Crushers are locked in a 1-1 tie with the Gummy Bear Warriors.  Things are really heating up!
  • Applications for the 2014-2015 school year will be available by the end of next week (3/14).  Please continue to check back here for more information on the application and application process.
  • Also, the MCAS Switch will be happening on Tuesday, March 18th and Wednesday, March 19th.   For the switch, Tuesday becomes a normal day (school ends at 3:00) and Wednesday becomes the early release (school ends at 12:30).  However, this does not affect which day your child comes to AASP.  For example: If your child normally attends AASP on Wednesday but not on Tuesday, that will not change.  The only difference is that, rather than your child coming down to us at 3:00 they will come down at 12:30.  Kindergartener’s schedules also do not change.
  • Lastly, April Vacation Camp is coming up in  just 6 short weeks.  Featuring another variety of fun and exciting activities every day, our vacation camps are always unique and enjoyable for all the children.  As with the applications for next year, permission slips will be available by the end of next week.  Please check back here for more information and to download the permission slips.

As always, if you ever have any questions or concerns please feel free to contact us by email, in person, or by phone.

PS – If you have any clocks that don’t automatically update, be sure to set them forward 1 hour on Sunday morning.  File that under: It’s About Time
