After one and half school years of temporary relocation to the Carr School we can finally return home to Waban. Here is the information that we have that relates to the move:
- AASP will be open next week on Monday, December 21st and Tuesday, December 22nd from 12:00 to 6:00. Children will be able to attend whichever day(s) they are enrolled. Lunch will still be available for purchase and the regular 5:30 bus will remain available for children who are already enrolled in the service.
- Kindergartners who normally attend Mondays from 12:30-3:00 may still come to AASP. Please note however that there will not be a 3:00 bus on Monday and any kindergartners who are only enrolled until 3:00 must be picked up by then.
- AASP will be closed on Wednesday, December 23rd. If your child normally attends AASP on Wednesday, please remember to submit a change to School Pass stating that they will not be attending this day.
- The school as well as AASP will be closed on Monday, January 4th and Tuesday, January 5th.
- Peter and/or Brad will be present for the open house on Tuesday, January 5th from 5:00-7:00.
- School and AASP will reopen on Wednesday, January, 6th
Here are some policy/procedure updates for when school begins at the new Angier building:
- For all 3:00 kindergarten pick-ups; an AASP staff member will escort the children outside to the plaza where parents may pick them up. Unfortunately, live parking will not be an option so all 3:00 pick-ups need to be done face-to-face with the AASP teacher. Parents should not enter the building as the entire school will be in the plaza at this time. If anyone needs to see Peter or Brad for anything, please contact us via phone or email to setup a meeting. This also means that we must strictly enforce the late pick-up policy for Kindergarten time. Please refer the Parent Handbook for more information regarding our late pickup policy.
- During after school hours (if you are coming to pick up your child(ren) from us or are meeting with AASP) parents should enter and exit the building through the back door and into the cafe ONLY. We will NOT be buzzing anyone in through the front door. When ringing the buzzer please be sure to face the camera/buzzer so we can see who is requesting to be let in.
- There will be an AASP teacher stationed in the cafe. Upon entering the building through the back door parents must check in with the AASP teacher that is there and sign out their child(ren). Only after you have signed out your child(ren) should you then go and retrieve them and their belongings.
- For safety reasons, while your child is in the Angier building during after school hours (3:00-6:00), they must continue to adhere to AASP rules.
We have updated these policies/procedures with the safety of the children as our primary focus. If there are any further changes we will do our best to announce them with as much advance notice as possible.
