Oxfam, Alumni v. All-Stars, Winter and Feb Vacation!

The Oxfam Hunger Banquet was quite a success.  Thank you to all who donated money and helped us out by engaging in some meaningful conversations with your children about hunger and poverty around the world.  It was a fantastic learning experience for all of us.

It was also great to see all of the alumni who showed up for the Alumni v. All-Stars Game.  The alumni sure got lucky, squeaking out a victory over the all-stars in overtime. 🙂  We can’t wait to see all of you again for next years game.

And finally, it’s Winter again.  With temperatures slowly and steadily beginning to drop, we need to ask that all parents please be sure to send their children to after school with appropriate attire for cold weather (winter coat, gloves/mittens, hats, scarves, etc…) and snow pants/snow suits and boots if it has been snowing.  Doing this enables us to continue to enjoy everything the outdoors has to offer, even in the Winter.  Beginning Monday, December 12th, anyone who does not have the appropriate clothing will not be allowed to participate in outside activities.

Registrations for Feb vacation have begun.  This year we’ve planned an ice skating trip to the Frog Pond, a virtual trip to Mexico, a camp-in day, and a trip to Kids Club Funland.  If you’re interested in having your child attend February Vacation Camp here at AASP, please pick up a registration form just outside of the Main Room right next to the daily sign-out sheet.  This year we will be offering a $10/day discount to all families when you register and pay for camp prior to January 1st, so make sure to get your registration forms in early!

We’re looking forward to a fun Winter season!  Happy holidays!
